"Farmhand" and "Settle the Score" were songs made under considerable pressure as I was racing to meet a deadline to be a part of a vinyl single series called "The Blowup Factor". I met with Mark Kates who was at the time the president of Beastie Boys' label Grand Royal, and I was excited that they expressed interest in releasing my music. I like working under pressure and this was another great opportunity to get my music in front of more ears.

This record is dope as Hell and continues Mr. Lif's mastery of rhymed storytelling. The first two tracks feed into each other as a harrowingly real tale of a new relationship grimly overshadowed by the girlfriend's stalking ex-lover with things inching closer & closer to inevitable confrontation. Brilliantly creative and very true to life, these are hallmarks of Mr. Lif and this new record is instructive, entertaining & worth attention. Sir Reginald Styles
This is the type of art that I'm always looking for. Honest. Story presented as a sort of folding of previous classic technique and still coming out fresh. To be moved forward with great work. Ben "Angrycrow" Nix-Bradley
