(2005) Produced by Soundtribe Sector 9 / This song appears on the "Artifact:Perspectives" (System 2005) / Perceptionists did a little touring with STS9 after "Black Dialogue" came out. I wrote this song while staying at RJD2's house when I was looking for a place to live in Philly. RJ actually engineered the session when I was recording vocals for this song.
Thought I wouldn't be able to come up with anything for the track, but all the most personal stuff came to the forefront. The second verse is about my uncle who passed away. Rest in Peace Uncle Carl.

This record is dope as Hell and continues Mr. Lif's mastery of rhymed storytelling. The first two tracks feed into each other as a harrowingly real tale of a new relationship grimly overshadowed by the girlfriend's stalking ex-lover with things inching closer & closer to inevitable confrontation. Brilliantly creative and very true to life, these are hallmarks of Mr. Lif and this new record is instructive, entertaining & worth attention. Sir Reginald Styles

This is the type of art that I'm always looking for. Honest. Story presented as a sort of folding of previous classic technique and still coming out fresh. To be moved forward with great work. Ben "Angrycrow" Nix-Bradley
